ECCCP Critical Care Egypt

The Egyptian College of Critical Care Physicians (ECCCP), hosted on 14 April, 2016 a hands-on workshop on the logical path towards lung protection which was held at the Learning Resource Center, Cairo University and presided by Dr Sherif Mokhtar, President ECCCP.

The workshop guest faculty was Dr Armin Kalenka, head of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Department at the district hospital Kreiskrankenhaus Bergstraße in Germany. The workshop was sponsored by GE.

Lung Recruitment and FRC Measurement in Mechanical Ventilation Workshop

Armin Kalenka Mechanical Ventilation EgyptThe Egyptian College of Critical Care Physicians (ECCCP), will organize a hands-on workshop on the logical path towards lung protection.

The workshop is scheduled on 14 April, 2016 at the Learning Resource Center, Kasr Al Ainy, Cairo University

The workshop guest faculty is Dr Armin Kalenka, head of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Department at the district hospital Kreiskrankenhaus Bergstraße in Germany.
Dr Kalenka will start the symposium by sharing his case studies on strategies for lung protection from his daily clinical practice followed by  by live patient demonstration .
The sessions will be broadcasted remotely and let doctors discuss clinical strategies to minimize lung over distention.

The workshop is sponsored by GE.

Venti Cairo Mechanical Ventilation Course

Attended by 40 participants, Venti Cairo Mechanical Ventilation course provided state of the art lectures and hands on skill stations covering Mechanical Ventilation.

The course guest faculty was Dr Lluis Blanch, Consultant Intensive care Medicine and past president of the Spanish Society for Intensive care Medicine. Several national faculty contributed as well to the course including; Dr Hesham Azazzy, Dr Magdy Lotfy, and Dr Mohamed Koreish.

The course received accreditation from Egyptian College of Critical Care Physicians (ECCCP) as well as the Spanish Society of Intensive care Medicine.

Skill Stations at Venti Cairo Mechanical Ventilation Course, 14-15 November, 2015
